2 Timothy 1:6-7, "Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

2 Timothy 4:2-5, "Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry."

World Ending? Not YetMore answers to a skeptic.© 04/01/02Not long ago I posted an article called World Ending? Who Said? with answers to a sceptic concerning God, the soon return of Jesus and the world in the last days. This article continues that subject. Matthew 24:24, "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." Deception is the best tool the devil has in his arsenal. If he can get you to believe something NOT of God, he wins. There are preachers and teachers who tell you what to do, how to live, where to live, how to dress, etc. They teach everything but the gospel. If it doesn't come from God, it isn't the truth. But we are human, subject to making mistakes. Therefore, if any teacher or preacher tells you a thing, check it out in the bible for yourselves! Do NOT take my word or any other person's word without first checking it. Do not be deceived just because it looks like a miracle. God IS moving right now but so is the enemy. He can't create anything so he copies the Lord God in actions. There will be things that look like signs and wonders that God does not participate in. If it does not line up with the Word of God, it is not the truth, no matter how good it seems to be. The biggest deception will come with a little truth in it, but will lead you off the path of the Lord. Ask God. The people called of God will tell you NOT to take their word but to look it up, prove it out. If all you do is take someone else's word for what God has for you, there is an opening for deception to creep in. As the age comes to an end, the deception will grow along with the cold hearts. Soon, it will be illegal to be a Christian, a believer. As some have seen already, the law will tell us that we are not allowed to possess or read a bible. But this is not quite the end. If we don't fix it, it's a goner." says another. Is this really true? We need to explore reasons why things are not as they might seem to be on a damaged planet populated with many, increasingly coldhearted people. It is true that those of us who are bible believers look to the scriptures and the Lord for most or all of our answers. It is true that many people think there are other means and alternative ways to get these answers. I respect that. But what if we are right? What if God IS the only way? What if Jesus IS the only answer? Time has tested the bible. It is still with us. Much of the prophecy has already come true. Only a few things are left. The mark of TRUE prophetic writings are that they ALL come true, not just a portion or even 90 percent, like the psychic's words claim to do. And the psychic phone services are not your friends. They teach the employees to give the answers you are looking for. A real prophet would be accurate 100 percent of the time. This is true of the bible and the prophets therein. It seems to me that even the faith giants ask this at one time or another. Isn't it in your heart at those times of pressure or maybe you just wonder about it sometimes because it doesn't really look like it? To answer the question quickly...Yes, He does care very much about all aspects of our lives. Yet, so much of the time, we ourselves get in His way with our bad choices and intent need to "fix it" ourselves when...if only, we would look to God for the solutions. Perhaps we should sit back and think about this a moment. I have no idea how many times I have gone ahead of God, how often have my blessings gone astray because I didn't wait one more hour, one more day. How can we know the answer to that? I wasn't patient enough to wait on God to deal with the situation. Something hit me just a day or so ago. Someone I knew, who had many health problems and emotional difficulties, committed suicide. In the note left for others to find, the person mentioned that they had tried for months for Social Security Disability which would fix many of the financial problems also looming over the person's head. The person was in dispair, the hope was gone from life. Worries and cares for all sorts of things became too large to handle. Any light, any positive thoughts were gone. The spirit died even before the body through hopelessness. They committed suicide. The day after the death, the letter came that said they received the needed funds. If only the person had waited ONE MORE DAY. How often do we give up our faith moments, hours or days before our blessing is about to show up? God wants us to be steadfast in our faith walk, our love and pursuit of Him, not giving up until we see the results in our spirits, having peace about all things. Is that too much for God to ask of us? NO! He is our Creator. He, through Jesus, is our Savior and Lord, if we will surrender our lives to Him. We should honor Him even if He does absolutely nothing else for us at all. Click here for the rest of Does God Care?
