Broken People

Like a broken toy lying
in the dirt, forgotten.

  Broken People

Weeping and crying. Pain and incredible agony.

Demons in the darkness. Ghosts in the corners of the mind.

Hurting, terrified, bleeding spirits. Crying out into the vastness.

Who will come? Who will answer?

Who will heal the broken people?

Broken lives. Broken hearts. Broken bodies.

Closets full of skeletal remains. Secrets, awful secrets.

Guilt overwhelming. Torment after torment. Shattered souls.

Like a broken toy lying in the dirt, forgotten.

Who will come? Who will answer?

Who will heal the broken people?

Broken lives. Broken hearts. Broken bodies.

Jesus on the cross. Agony, incredible pain.

He took the sins of all. Sky dark. Night before night.

Broken life. Broken heart. Broken body.

He comes. He answers.

He heals the broken people.

Mended lives. Recreated hearts. Healed bodies.
